Patients suffering from paralytic foot and ankle deformities often struggle with walking, balance, pain, shoe wearing difficulties, and social embarrassment. Conditions such as foot drop, equinus deformity, equinovarus deformity, clawing of toes, and unstable ankles can severely affect mobility and quality of life. Many patients gradually lose confidence and become dependent on support for daily activities.
These deformities commonly occur due to damage to the nerves or muscles controlling the foot and ankle. Causes include peroneal nerve injury, spinal disorders, trauma, fractures, compartment syndrome, polio, cerebral palsy, Guillain–Barré syndrome, stroke, post-surgical nerve injuries, genetic disorders, infections, and other neurological conditions leading to paralysis or muscle imbalance.

Real patients. Real journeys. Real walking. When no one else could help, they came to Dr. Adnan Firoz Khan — and walked again.
I was also suffering from Foot Drop but got operated two times (Left & Right) by Adnan Sir last year. Alhamdulillah, The first operation (Left) was done in May, and the second (Right) in November. After the successful recovery in my left leg, I had planned for the Right. The movement came in the right leg in just 7 weeks, which I had not expected. Now, this is my New Journey with the help of Adnan Sir by the Grace of Allah. I’m very confident that I will become normal In Sha Allah, and after that, surely, I will come to Aligarh to give special thanks to Adnan Sir. My wish from Allah is that you should go to every corner of the world to heal the patients.

We specialize exclusively in foot and ankle deformities caused by nerve or muscle paralysis — conditions many surgeons are reluctant to treat.
Paralytic foot deformities develop when the nerves or muscles controlling the foot become weak or paralyzed. Over time, the imbalance between muscles causes the foot to gradually twist downward or inward, making normal walking difficult or impossible.
These conditions can arise from a wide range of causes. Left untreated, they progressively worsen — yet with modern reconstructive surgery, most can be corrected significantly, even after years of neglect.
"Our center has become a dedicated referral center for severe paralytic foot deformities that are often considered untreatable elsewhere."
Successfully performed with majority of patients walking independently post-recovery.
20+ states and international countries.
Advanced techniques not widely available elsewhere in India.
Function-preserving surgery — our goal is natural independent walking, not just structural correction.
Transparency through before/after walking footage — because seeing is believing.
We have become the center patients come to when other surgeons say "nothing can be done." This is our sole specialization — not a side service.
100% dedicated to paralytic foot and ankle deformity correction — not a general orthopaedic clinic.
Complex tendon transfers and reconstructive techniques not widely available elsewhere in India.
We preserve native joint function wherever possible for more natural long-term recovery.
Every deformity is unique. Every case receives an individualized assessment and approach.
Our goal is a plantigrade, stable functional foot — not just structural correction on paper.
We treat patients turned away elsewhere — long-standing deformities, failed prior surgeries.
"Many patients live for years believing they will never walk normally again. With modern reconstructive surgery, even long-standing paralytic deformities can often be corrected successfully."
Appreciate and check your health more often, let us help you do that!
Every recovery has a story, and our patients’ journeys speak for themselves. Their words reflect strength, trust, and the joy of taking confident steps again.
From pain and limited movement to renewed independence, these experiences show what dedicated care can achieve. Each patient story inspires us to keep helping more people move better and live freely.
Our greatest reward is seeing patients return to the activities they love. Their smiles, progress, and heartfelt words remind us why compassionate treatment matters.

Yes — in most cases, tendon transfer surgery can significantly restore walking ability. The outcome depends on the cause, duration, and severity of the deformity.
Most patients begin walking with support within 6–8 weeks after surgery. Full functional recovery typically takes 6–12 months with consistent rehabilitation.
Yes. The transferred tendon becomes a permanent part of the foot’s function over time and does not require repeat surgery in most cases.
Yes. Bilateral deformities can be treated — usually in staged procedures with appropriate recovery time between each foot.
Yes. We regularly operate on deformities that have existed for 5–20+ years. Modern reconstructive techniques achieve excellent results even in long-neglected cases.
Our goal is to restore a plantigrade, stable foot for normal independent walking. The majority of our patients walk unassisted after full recovery.
